Engagement Session In Downtown Madison | Kathryn + Logan

Recently, I had the pleasure of photographing a romantic engagement session in downtown Madison, WI. With its winding cobbled streets, historic charm, and picturesque scenery, it was the perfect place for a photo shoot with this beautiful couple. We were lucky enough to shoot in two different areas, indoor and outdoor. So, they definitely have a beautiful variety within their gallery!

First, we started in the Wisconsin State Capitol building. And oh my goodness….that building is STUNNING. The historical architecture was the perfect venue for this shoot. The bride-to-be wore a stunning silky white dress that added to the timeless and old-money aesthetic we were going for. Watching them interact and pose was like watching an old Hollywood movie, it was magical. We took as many pictures as we could, in the elevator, on the grand staircase, walking down the gorgeous hallways, everywhere we could!

Afterward, the couple changed outfits and we hit the streets! We walked all around downtown exploring and finding the perfect picture spots. We took some outside the State Capitol building, on the crosswalks, and we even shot some in a parking garage! It was a purely magical day and definitely a session I’ll never forget. I’m so honored to have gotten to capture this engagement session in downtown Madison. I can’t wait for their wedding this coming December!
