Surprise Beach Engagement | Ayla + Kyle

Recently, I had the pleasure of photographing a surprise beach engagement for a beautiful couple. As a photographer, there is nothing more romantic and exciting than capturing the expression on a person’s face when they are surprised by an engagement! Ayla had no idea it was coming and you can tell by the look in her eyes. It was such an incredible shoot to be a part of. I am so honored that Kyle trusted me to capture this important day!

The plan was that they were just taking some couples shots….little did she know what was coming! We walked around the beach for a while and I was taking some portraits of them just being themselves. They were so adorable, and even before he proposed the pictures were so romantic! Finally, the moment came and it went so perfectly. I had them posing with her in front of him, and then he dropped to his knee. She turned around and was stunned!! It was so awesome to watch her genuine reaction, and even better to capture it in a photograph forever. She had tears of joy in her eyes when she grabbed him and kissed him. They held each other so tight, it was so beautiful and intimate.

Afterward, we took even more shots of the newly engaged couple. I had her show off the ring, and then got some really romantic pictures. I’m so deeply honored to have been a part of such an incredibly important moment for these two. A surprise beach engagement is such a beautiful way to propose! I wish them nothing but a long and happy marriage!
